Hey everyone! So, I don’t know about you but I’m doing amazingly!
Jess and I went to an Ethopian restaurant called ‘Addis Ababa Cafe’ with friends last night and it was INCREDIBLE to say the least. Seriously, if you live in SA (or even if you don’t) you need to be there, tonight (I’ll give you a little bit of leeway if you’re coming from interstate).
The Ethiopians have an amazing way of eating, you won’t find any forks here! You are given rolled-up lengths of a spongy, sourdough flatbread with your meal. You then rip chunks off of it and use it to scoop up food with your fingers. It’s very communal and great fun!
We ordered the banquet (the only way to go really), full of all kinds of delicious, heavily spiced Ethopian delights. My personal favourite was the Kitfo, an amazing dish of raw minced beef marinated in mitmita (a chilli spice blend) and niter kibbeh (clarified butter which has been infused with herbs and spices) and served with a side of homemade cottage cheese.
After much effort, we decided we were too full to finish everything and ordered coffee. I seriously can’t stop ranting about how good the coffee is. It’s a specially spiced Ethiopian coffee and is brought out with incense. It’s thick, sweet and delicious, the perfect end to a perfect meal (it didn’t hurt that we got around 3-4 cups each out of the pot either!). Better yet, the whole thing cost us $30 a person. Seriously, go there.
Anyway, enough rambling about restaurants which you should go to as soon as you can and onto the photos!

This is exactly as it came out of the camera, I just fiddled with the levels a little bit. I know it looks fake as hell but you have to believe me on this one.
BONUS ROUND!
I totally couldn’t decide between 2 photos that I took so you’re getting 2 photos today!

I took this one from the road leading to the Adelaide Gaol. I also thought it looked really cool in a blue-tinted black and white so you can have that one too!

See you tomorrow!
SPOILER ALERT: I took some close-up shots of a dandelion because I’m artistically bankrupt, look forward to it!
